This Policy applies to the Freight Engage website and related services, including accounts, business profiles, company directories, messaging, freight requests, quotes, freight-agent discovery, events, job listings, notifications, memberships and support. Third-party websites and services linked from the Platform are governed by their own privacy policies.
3. Our B2B Platform
Freight Engage is a B2B logistics networking and freight marketplace platform that helps logistics and freight professionals discover business contacts, share company information, connect with other members and access freight quote opportunities, jobs, events and promotional features. Freight Engage is a platform and does not itself act as a freight forwarder or carrier, or become a party to transactions between members, merely because it provides these features.
Business information may be personal information when it identifies an individual, such as a sole proprietor, director, employee, sales contact or account administrator. Information you submit may be visible to other members or publicly, depending on the feature, membership level, publication choices and settings.
4. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect:
- Identity and professional details, such as name, job title, company and role.
- Contact details, such as business email, telephone number, business address, city and country.
- Account information, such as username, password credentials, account settings, preferences and membership status.
- Business profile details, including company website, services, certifications, licences and information submitted for verification.
- Membership and billing information, such as plan, invoice details, transaction references and payment status.
- Platform content and activity, including freight requests, quotes, messages, reviews, ratings, invitations, event or job activity and other content you submit.
- Support enquiries, complaints, feedback and correspondence.
- Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, logs, pages viewed, features used, timestamps and referral information.
- Marketing preferences, consent or opt-out records, and information used for security, fraud prevention and compliance.
- Other information you choose to provide when using a Platform feature.
5. Sensitive Personal Information
Freight Engage does not intentionally request sensitive or special-category personal information for ordinary B2B use. Please do not submit such information unless a feature specifically requires it and you are legally permitted to provide it. Where applicable law requires additional safeguards for information we process, we will apply those safeguards.
6. How We Collect Information
We may collect information directly from you when you register, complete a profile, subscribe, submit a freight request or quote, message another member, contact support or use another Platform feature. We may also receive information from an organisation or its authorised representative, other members during legitimate business interactions, service providers supporting payment, communications, analytics, verification or security, and public or commercially available business sources where lawful. Technical information may be collected automatically through your browser or device, subject to applicable law and cookie choices.
7. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Create, authenticate and administer accounts and business profiles.
- Provide, operate, maintain and improve Platform services.
- Enable business discovery, messaging, freight requests, quotes and freight-agent opportunities.
- Manage memberships, subscriptions, invoices and payment status.
- Provide notifications, invitations, event and job features, and customer support.
- Review business verification information where verification features are offered.
- Detect and address fraud, spam, impersonation, abuse, security incidents and prohibited activity.
- Investigate complaints, disputes and potential violations of Platform rules.
- Send service, security, billing and other necessary communications.
- Send promotional communications where permitted by law and subject to applicable preferences.
- Understand Platform usage, troubleshoot errors, measure performance and improve reliability.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
8. Legal Grounds and Choices
Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we will rely on a basis permitted by that law, which may include providing a service you request, complying with a legal obligation, legitimate interests, or consent where required. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it where applicable; withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful. Your available choices and rights may depend on your location and the law that applies.
9. Business Profiles and Information Shared on the Platform
To support B2B networking, profile information, company details, business contact details, services, verification status and content you submit for publication may be displayed to other members or publicly, depending on the relevant feature and settings. Please review information before submitting it and do not post information you intend to keep confidential. If you provide personal information about employees, colleagues, agents, customers or other contacts, you are responsible for having authority to provide it and for giving any notice required by law.
10. Messages, Freight Requests and Quotes
We process messages, freight requests, quote responses and related business communications to provide the relevant features, maintain security, investigate abuse and enforce Platform rules. Where permitted by law, automated or manual controls may be used to identify spam, phishing, malware, fraud or prohibited activity. Avoid including unnecessary personal information or highly confidential business information in ordinary Platform messages.
11. Verification and Due Diligence
Where business verification is offered, we may process business registration details, licences, tax or business identifiers, website information, official business email addresses, authorised-contact details and industry credentials. This information may be reviewed by Freight Engage and relevant service providers for verification, trust, safety, fraud prevention and compliance. A verification indicator does not guarantee a member’s financial condition, performance, authorisation for every service or the accuracy of every statement made by that member.
12. Payments and Memberships
Membership payments may be handled by third-party payment gateways or payment providers. Depending on the provider and payment flow, Freight Engage may receive billing details, payment status and transaction references rather than complete payment-card credentials. Payment providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Please review the relevant provider’s notices when making a payment.
13. Cookies, Analytics and Similar Technologies
Freight Engage uses cookies and tracking or analytics technologies to support website functionality, understand usage, measure performance, improve services and, where applicable, support marketing. These technologies may collect information such as browser or device identifiers, pages visited, interactions, approximate location derived from technical data and referral information. The exact technologies and purposes depend on the tools deployed on the live Platform. Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, the appropriate consent mechanism should be provided. You may also be able to manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Platform functionality.
14. Marketing Communications
Where permitted by law, we may send promotional emails about Freight Engage memberships, features, services, events and offers. You may unsubscribe using the unsubscribe mechanism included in the message or contact support@freightengage.com. We may continue to send necessary service, security, account and billing communications even if you opt out of marketing messages.
15. When We Share Information
We may share information, as necessary and subject to applicable safeguards, with:
- Other Platform members where disclosure is part of a feature you use or content you choose to publish.
- Hosting, infrastructure, security and technical service providers.
- Payment, billing and accounting providers.
- Email, SMS, push-notification and other communications providers.
- Customer-support, analytics and product-service providers.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, the Platform or its users, or to investigate suspected fraud or unlawful activity, consistent with applicable law.
16. Sale of Personal Information
Freight Engage does not intend to sell personal information to data brokers in the ordinary course of operating the Platform. If a future activity is treated as a sale, sharing, targeted-advertising activity or similar regulated activity under applicable law, we will assess and implement the notices, choices, consent or opt-out mechanisms required before carrying it out.
17. International Processing
Freight Engage is operated from India and may use service providers or infrastructure located in other countries. As a result, information may be processed outside the country where you live. Where applicable law imposes requirements on international transfers, we will use an appropriate lawful mechanism and safeguards. The actual hosting locations, providers and transfer arrangements must be confirmed before this Policy is published.
18. Information Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss, destruction and unlawful processing. Measures may include access controls, authentication, protected transmission, encryption where appropriate, logging, monitoring, backups and role-based access. No online service or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please protect your login credentials and contact support@freightengage.com promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
19. Data Breaches
If we become aware of a personal information breach, we will assess and respond to it in accordance with applicable law, including providing notices to regulators or affected individuals where required. The timing and content of any notice will depend on the incident and the legal requirements that apply.
20. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including providing services, maintaining accounts, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, meeting legal obligations and protecting the Platform. Retention periods may differ by data type and purpose. Billing and accounting records may be retained for legally required periods; security, support and dispute records may be retained for reasonable risk-based periods. Deleted information may remain in backups for a limited period before being removed in accordance with applicable procedures. Specific retention periods should be finalised in our internal retention schedule.
21. Your Privacy Rights and Requests
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain processing, request portability, or complain to a competent privacy authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions and limitations. To make a privacy request or complaint, contact support@freightengage.com. Please identify your account or explain the context of your request. We may need to verify your identity before responding and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
22. Children
Freight Engage is a professional B2B platform and is not intended for children. Do not create an account or provide information if doing so is prohibited by applicable age requirements. If we identify information collected in violation of applicable child-protection requirements, we may take reasonable steps to address or delete it as required by law.
23. Third-Party Links and Services
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, payment services or other services that we do not control. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy notices and practices. We encourage you to review those notices before providing information to third parties.
24. Automated Tools and AI-Assisted Processing
Freight Engage may use automated rules or AI-assisted systems for functions such as search, recommendations, spam detection, fraud prevention, moderation, support or operational analysis. The systems actually used and the information they process should be reviewed and documented internally. Where applicable law grants rights or requires safeguards concerning automated decisions, we will follow those requirements.
25. Information About Other People
If you submit information about another person, including an employee, customer, supplier, agent or business contact, you are responsible for having the legal authority to provide it and for giving any notice required by law. Please ensure the information is relevant and accurate and avoid submitting unnecessary personal information.
26. Business Customer Processing
If a member uses Freight Engage to process personal information on behalf of another organisation, our legal role and responsibilities may depend on the activity and applicable law. Additional contractual terms, such as a data-processing agreement, may be required. The relevant arrangements should be assessed and documented where applicable.
27. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Platform, our service providers, information practices or applicable law. The updated version will display a revised “Last Updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide notice of material changes or obtain consent before the changes take effect.
