DUE DILIGENCE POLICY

Website: https://freightengage.com/  |  Operated by BigEye Global Solutions Private Limited

1. Purpose of This Policy

Freight Engage is a business-to-business (B2B) logistics networking and freight marketplace platform that helps users discover freight service providers, connect with business partners and exchange freight quote opportunities. This policy provides practical guidance to users on carrying out their own due diligence before entering into a business relationship with another member or service provider.

2. Does Freight Engage Verify Whether a Service Provider Is Legitimate?

Freight Engage does not independently verify the legitimacy, registration, financial standing or overall reliability of every member or service provider listed on the platform. Information and business details made available through Freight Engage should not be treated as confirmation that a member is genuine, qualified, financially sound or able to perform a service.

If a profile, membership status or badge is displayed, it must not be understood as a guarantee, endorsement, certification of all business claims or assurance of a member’s performance, financial condition, licences, insurance or service quality. Users should make their own checks before sharing sensitive information, making payments or entering into a contract.

3. Steps to Take Before Working with a Service Provider

To reduce the risk of fraud, loss of money or cargo-related problems, Freight Engage recommends that users consider the following steps before entering into a business relationship:

  • Check the business registration: Confirm that the company is registered in the country where it claims to operate. Where appropriate, request copies of relevant registration or business documents and check them with the issuing authority.
  • Confirm the company’s contact details: Check the company’s official website, business email, telephone number and operating address. Independently confirm that you are communicating with an authorized representative.
  • Agree to written terms: Use a written contract or service agreement that clearly sets out the services, charges, responsibilities, shipment details, timelines, payment terms and procedures for handling disagreements.
  • Use traceable payment methods: Be cautious about requests for unusual or urgent payments. Where possible, use traceable payment methods and ensure that the beneficiary’s details match the party you intend to pay.
  • Research the company’s reputation: Search for independent reviews, complaints, warnings or reports of suspected fraud. Do not rely only on testimonials or information supplied by the service provider.
  • Check relevant licences and memberships: Where applicable to the service and country, confirm relevant licences, industry memberships, accreditations or certifications directly with the issuing body or association.
  • Verify banking and shipment details: Independently confirm bank-account changes, payment instructions, shipment information and other material details using a trusted contact method before acting on them.

4. What Should I Do If I Suspect Fraud?

If you suspect fraud, impersonation, misleading business information or other suspicious activity involving a Freight Engage member, contact us at info@freightengage.com. Provide a clear description of the concern and, where possible, supporting information such as relevant messages, profile details, invoices or payment records. Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive personal or financial information.

Freight Engage may review the report, request additional information and, where appropriate, contact the other member to seek clarification or establish communication. We may also restrict or suspend an account or take other action under our platform policies where considered appropriate. We cannot guarantee that a report will lead to a particular outcome or that any suspected fraud will be detected or prevented.

Freight Engage is not a party to contracts or commercial transactions entered into directly between members and does not adjudicate or resolve disputes about payment, service performance, cargo, delivery, losses or contractual obligations. If you believe you have been defrauded, consider contacting the relevant law enforcement agency, your bank or payment provider, and a qualified legal professional in the appropriate jurisdiction.

5. Responsibility of Members

Members are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide or publish on Freight Engage is accurate, current and not misleading. Members must not impersonate another person or company, submit fraudulent information, or use the platform for unlawful or deceptive purposes. Members should promptly correct material inaccuracies in their business information.

6. Disclaimer and Limitation of Reliance

Business information, profiles and other content on Freight Engage may be provided by members or obtained from other sources. Freight Engage does not guarantee that such information is accurate, complete, current or independently verified. The platform is provided to facilitate connections and information exchange; users remain responsible for evaluating counterparties and deciding whether to proceed with any transaction.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, BigEye Global Solutions Private Limited is not responsible for losses arising from a user’s dealings with another member or third-party service provider, or from reliance on information supplied by them. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

7. Policy Updates

Freight Engage may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, its practices or applicable requirements. The updated policy will be published on the website. Users should review it periodically.
